What do we do?
The Respiratory Infection Assembly aims to develop and share new knowledge, training and education for members to increase their expertise in all aspects of respiratory infection (other than tuberculosis) research and practice.
The current Assembly Head is interested in influenza and pneumonia (community acquired, hospital-acquired, healthcare-associated); the Head-Elect focuses on molecular diagnosis of infectious disease and non-antibiotic treatment of severe pneumonia with neutralization antibody and stem cells; and the Deputy Head is interested in community acquired pneumonia especially in melioidosis.
Who should join:
Any member keen to develop knowledge, build contacts and network, present research ideas, seek training contacts and apply for funds.
Senior members with vast experience wishing to share their knowledge, train and educate the next generation.
