APSR Clean Air Research Award

Dr Nakanishi

We are pleased to announce the availability of two new APSR Awards:

  1. APSR Clean Air Research Award (see Call for papers below) for the most outstanding original research paper on Clean Air published in Respirology in the year preceding the APSR Congress,

    and

These awards were initiated by Dr Yoichi Nakanishi (President of the APSR 2020-2021).

Call for papers:

Respirology is calling for original research on effects of the global environment on lung health. The theme includes in- or outdoor exposure to air pollution and research on respiratory diseases caused by cigarette smoking or vaping.

If you have an original research paper in preparation on this theme, you are invited to submit it to Respirology for consideration with a mention in your cover letter that you are responding to this call for papers.

Suitable manuscripts received by Respirology will undergo the usual peer-review process, and all accepted research manuscripts on the theme are eligible for the Award.

Eligible papers are assessed by an expert panel – appointed by the journal's Editors in Chief and includes the Chairperson of the APSR Research Committee – for novelty, impact, methodology, presentation, overall quality and suitability for the award. The Editors in Chief will determine the winning paper based on the scores and ranking from the panel members.
