APSR Assembly Education Award

The APSR is pleased to announce the availability of Awards for assembly members to present their abstracts at award the session in the Assembly Members’ Meetings. The meetings will take place from 18 to 19 November 2022 on-site during APSR 2022 Seoul Congress.

Awards will be made on the basis of scientific merit as judged impartially by the Congress Abstract Scoring system.

There are six awards available for each Assembly. Distribution of awards in each Assembly will be as follows:

  • Two awardees from Local delegates (Republic of Korea)
  • Two awardees from Low- or Middle-Income Countries (LMICs*)
  • Two awardees from High Income Countries (HICs*)

The Award:
  • US$250
  • A commemorative certificate
  • Opportunity to make presentation orally in front of experts** of the field.
  • Opportunity to hear practical advice from experts** of the field to make the presentation more convincing and appealing.
  • The awardee may also be introduced on the APSR website, publications and social media

**The APSR Assembly Leaders and the APSR Education Committee members

The Awardee:
  • Must be an APSR member (via en bloc or individual membership)
  • Must be a member of the assembly which was chosen for the abstract (Awardees who are not members of the assembly are asked to join the assembly; free of charge)
  • Must be aged ≤40 at the start of the Congress
  • Cannot be a winner of any other award for the same abstract nor have other support
  • Must be the First Author and able to present the abstract at both the Congress and the Assembly Members’ Meeting
  • Must register for the Congress before their individual "cut-off date". The cut-off date will be provided by the Secretariat after the abstract has been accepted. This date will be earlier than the usual registration deadline, to enable the programme schedule to be compiled and awards to be considered
