APSR / KF-CB Lung Cancer Research Young Investigator Award

This award will be available for the best lung cancer research abstract at each APSR Congress until 2027.

This APSR Award is to recognise researchers in the area of lung cancer, one The Big 5 Lung Diseases, and to encourage diversity in scientific excellence. Therefore women are particularly encouaged to compete for this award.

The Award:
  • $500 (jointly funded by Prof Kwun Fong and Prof Chunxue Bai)
  • A commemorative certificate
  • Invitation to the Gala Dinner (or similar social event) for the award ceremony
    (Note: This item might be changed due to the situation of COVID-19)
  • The awardee may also be introduced on the APSR website, Bulletin and social media.
The Awardee:
  • Must be an APSR member (en bloc or individual).
  • Must be aged ≤40 at the start of the Congress
  • Must be the First Author and able to present the abstract at the Congress
  • Cannot be a winner of any other award for the same abstract nor have other travel support
  • Must register for the Congress before their individual "cut-off date".
    The cut-off date will be provided by the APSR Secretariat after their abstract has been accepted. This date will be earlier than the usual registration deadline, to enable the programme schedule to be compiled and awards to be considered.
  • The Awardee is required to send a report (circa 500 words) of their experience at the Congress to the APSR Secretariat within one month after the Congress. The report may be published in the APSR Bulletin and/or Newsletter.
