APSR Assembly Membership

Every APSR member is entitled to join up to three APSR assemblies that identify their professional expertise and research interests.

Assemblies are networking platforms for members with common interests to stay coherent. The assembly heads are constantly looking for relevant expertise within their assemblies for proposals on congress planning, prepare position statements, publications, evaluate conference abstracts, and other kinds of projects. Active participation in the assemblies will ensure that your professional interests are represented and catered for, not only in the congress but also in educational and other activities of the APSR.

Members can join or change their assemblies at any time, online. There is no fee to join an assembly.

The head of each assembly is elected by the membership of that assembly. All heads serve on the Central Congress Committee and one head is that committee's chairperson. Two of the heads serve on the APSR Executive Committee, thereby providing an opportunity to be involved in the decision making and direction setting of the Society. Further details can be found in Article 6 of the Society's Charter and Bylaws.
