DOI: 10.1002/rcr2.1411

This study presents the largest case series of Bronchial Dieulafoy's disease (BDD), a rare vascular disorder causing massive haemoptysis Seven cases from a single centre were retrospectively analysed, including up to 4-year follow-up outcomes The study underscores the need for bronchoscopy surveillance, imaging and emphasizes embolization and endobronchial therapy for management

Feasibility of continued treatment with dupilumab in patients with type 2 inflammatory disease who developed eosinophilic pneumonia: 3 case reports
Masamitsu Hamakawa, Ayaka Tanaka, Fumiaki Tokioka, Tadashi Ishida
DOI: 10.1002/rcr2.1412

Several reports have described dupilumab-induced eosinophilic pneumonia (EP) after treatment with dupilumab in patients with type 2 inflammatory disease Other reports have suggested the efficacy of dupilumab for chronic EP (CEP) Whether dupilumab can be continued in patients with type 2 inflammatory disease who develop EP during dupilumab treatment remains unclear We present herein three cases with different clinical presentations involving dupilumab and EP

Case reports
Lung abscess caused by the anaerobic pathogen Tannerella forsythia
XiaYi Miao, Wei Yang, Shiqiang Wang, Jihong Tang, XuMing Luo, Teng Chen
DOI: 10.1002/rcr2.1391

Tannerella forsythia can lead to pneumonia and abscesses under special conditions, including co-infection with helper pathogens and reduced host immunity mNGS represents an effective method for diagnosis of the causative pathogen in lung abscess The course of its treatment should last for at least 3 months

A COVID-19 case report with low ACT(activated clotting time) and high serum D-dimer level: Antithrombin III deficiency?
Ayşe Şahin Tutak
DOI: 10.1002/rcr2.1394

Extremely high D-dimer levels are closely related to oxygen saturation/prognosis and may be accompanied by ATIII deficiency ACT levels may prove to be a guide when ATIII levels cannot be measured When ATIII supplementation is required, an adequate response may be achieved by FFP 10-20 mL/kg/day while maintaining a high level of anticoagulant support in the treatment protocol

Pulmonary endometriosis presenting as multiple nodules and pseudocavities
Zixuan Liu, Xiaoli Deng, Yanhong Du, Danxiong Sun
DOI: 10.1002/rcr2.1402

We report a case of a 33-year-old woman with recurrent hemoptysis for 1 year The patient did not exhibit a temporal relationship between her periods and the onset of hemoptysis A chest computed tomography scan showed multiple pseudocavities in the lower lobe of the right lung and multiple nodules in both lower lobes of the lungs The right lower lobe wedge resection was performed Postoperative pathological examination showed pulmonary endometriosis which is a rare cause of hemoptysis

Autoimmune pulmonary alveolar proteinosis during the treatment of nonspecific interstitial pneumonia complicated by clinically amyopathic dermatomyositis: A case report

DOI: 10.1002/rcr2.1405

We present a case of massive haemoptysis in which bleeding was controlled by bronchial occlusion with endobronchial Watanabe spigots (EWSs) using a two-scope technique while securing the field of view

A case of pneumomediastinum complicating immunotherapy associated pneumonitis

DOI: 10.1002/rcr2.1406

We describe the case of an 87-year-old gentleman referred to a metropolitan hospital in Sydney with pneumomediastinum complicating immunotherapy associated pneumonitis and recent bronchoscopic intervention The contribution of pneumonitis in the setting of interstitial lung disease has been well described to developing pneumomediastinum however this is less clear in the setting of immunotherapy associated pneumonitis and to what extent bronchoscopic intervention compounds this risk

A ciliated adenocarcinoma of the lung mimicking lung abscess and pneumonia
Naoki Fujimoto, Kohei Fujita, Ayami Ishida, Koki Moriyoshi, Kiminobu Tanizawa
DOI: 10.1002/rcr2.1407

Pathological images of the left lower lobe showing thyroid transcription factor (TTF)-1 negativity (C) and mucin (MUC)5 AC positivity (D) on immunostaining and no bilayer on p63 staining (E), consistent with the features of ciliated adenocarcinoma

DOI: 10.1002/rcr2.1408

An unusual case of persistent consolidation in a gentleman requiring significant invasive and radiological investigation resulting in a rare diagnosis of an interstitial lung disease Optimal management strategies are unclear and this case highlights the potential of close monitoring rather than immunosuppression for these patients

Unravelling lung adenocarcinoma in an immunocompetent patient with endobronchial aspergilloma: A case report
Khai Lip Ng, Nai-Chien Huan, Wei Loon Tan, Nur Husna Mohd Aminudin, Fazilah Hassan, Kasuma Mohamed Nordin
DOI: 10.1002/rcr2.1409

We present a 73-year-old gentleman with a rare dual pathology of endobronchial aspergilloma and endobronchial adenocarcinoma who initially presented with prolonged cough, dyspnoea, and haemoptysis Bronchoscopy revealed an obstructed bronchus by a necrotic mass whereby histological examination showed evidence of Aspergillus spp infection which persisted despite treatment with anti-fungal agents Repeated bronchoscopy and biopsy eventually unravelled an underlying endobronchial adenocarcinoma
